DN Festling is a high-yielding, mid-early hybrid corn of Ukrainian selection, characterized by stability and adaptability to various climatic conditions. Plants of this hybrid are tall, reaching 240-250 cm in height, with cylindrical ears 23-24 cm long positioned at a height of 90-100 cm. The grain is yellow-orange, dent-shaped, round, with a 1000-grain weight of 300-320 g, and a grain yield of 80-82%. The hybrid's yield potential reaches 11-12 t/ha, confirmed by multi-year trials across various regions of Ukraine. The agronomic characteristics of DN Festling make it a reliable choice for farmers. The hybrid is distinguished by high drought and heat resistance, ensuring stable yields even under adverse weather conditions. Additionally, the corn has high moisture shedding, which facilitates harvesting and reduces costs for grain drying. Another important advantage is resistance to lodging, which helps preserve yields and simplifies mechanized harvesting. DN Festling demonstrates good resistance to common diseases and pests, as well as a well-developed root system that helps withstand dry periods. The hybrid is recommended for cultivation in various agroclimatic zones of Ukraine, including Steppe, Forest-Steppe, and Polissia, with optimal plant population ranging from 50,000 to 90,000 plants per hectare depending on the region. This hybrid combines high productivity, reliability, and economic efficiency, making it popular among agricultural producers.
