DMC Traian

DMC Traian is a mid-season hybrid of sweet corn with FAO 270, developed by MAIS for cultivation across the entire territory of Ukraine, especially in steppe, forest-steppe, and Polissia regions. The vegetation period varies depending on the region: in Polissia it is approximately 116 days, in the forest-steppe zone — 112 days, and in the steppe — 108 days. Plants reach a height of about 245 cm, with ears attached at approximately 100 cm. The ears are cylindrical in shape with 14-18 rows of yellow-red kernels, characteristic of this hybrid. The hybrid is distinguished by high yield, reaching up to 16 tons/ha in Polissia, 15.5 tons/ha in the forest-steppe, and 14 tons/ha in the steppe. It exhibits a pronounced Stay Green effect, indicating prolonged retention of green leaf mass and improved accumulation of nutrients. Thanks to its strong root system and good water release, DMC Traian demonstrates high drought and heat tolerance, making it especially valuable under stressful climatic conditions. Additionally, the hybrid shows high resistance to diseases and pests, including corn smut and corn borer, as well as corn earworm. Plants are resistant to lodging, ensuring crop preservation. Recommended planting density varies by region: 45–50 thousand plants per hectare in the steppe, 60–70 thousand in the forest-steppe, and 65–70 thousand in Polissia. DMC Traian is suitable for both grain and silage production, making it a versatile solution for agricultural enterprises.
