Maize DMITRIY MV

Focus on Phytosanitary Reliability

In intensive farming, where the risk of pathogen spread increases due to tight crop rotation schedules, "Dmitriy MV" serves as a primary tool for crop protection. Developed by the P.P. Lukyanenko National Grain Center, this maize hybrid is designed to withstand key agricultural threats. Its genetics are specifically optimized for resistance to plant rust and various types of rots, allowing agronomists to reduce the need for intensive fungicide applications during critical growth stages.

Agronomic Management and Plant Density

The hybrid delivers predictable results when planting density is managed according to the soil potential. To maximize the productivity of the hybrid on fields with high fertility, the following seeding rates are recommended:

• 65,000–70,000 plants per hectare: For areas with sufficient moisture and high levels of mineral nutrition.
• 60,000–65,000 plants per hectare: For regions with moderate moisture availability, helping to reduce resource competition during dry spells.

High resistance to root rot makes "Dmitriy MV" an excellent choice for operations utilizing minimal or no-till farming practices, where crop residues often act as infection reservoirs. A robust immune system ensures uniform cob development, which simplifies the planning of the harvest campaign and minimizes grain losses during mechanical harvesting.
