Proso millet Yuvileine

Stable Yields with Minimal Complexity

When operating with the 'Yuvileine' millet variety from the V. Ya. Yuriev Plant Production Institute, the primary benefit for an agronomist is consistency. This is a practical choice for fields that require a dependable crop with predictable performance across varying intensity levels. It is a technologically straightforward variety that does not demand overly complex cultivation protocols.

Field Performance and Operational Advantages

The main operational advantage here is the high lodging resistance. This feature significantly streamlines the harvest process: the combine harvester moves smoothly, and you avoid the common headache of grain loss due to collapsed stems. This direct impact on harvest efficiency ensures that more of the crop ends up in the bin rather than on the ground.

• Originator: V. Ya. Yuriev Plant Production Institute of NAAS.
• Origin: Ukraine.
• Core feature: High lodging resistance.
• Phytosanitary profile: Strong resistance to head smut (smut disease).

By utilizing this variety, you gain a predictable response to standard agronomic operations. The crop is responsive to soil structure and basic fertilization, showing resilience to changing weather conditions in the second half of the growing season. Because of its superior lodging resistance, you can optimize harvest speed, effectively reducing fuel consumption and minimizing wear and tear on the harvester's header mechanism.
