Coriander variety Kubanskiy is a mid-season and high-yielding vegetable coriander variety that forms a large and compact rosette with dark green, tender, and aromatic leaves. This variety is characterized by cold hardiness and anise aroma, making it particularly attractive for cultivation in various climatic conditions. The plant reaches a height of about 70 cm, and the period from germination to the onset of technological maturity is 30-40 days, which allows for obtaining fresh greens in a short time.
The yield of the Kubanskiy variety is quite high and ranges from 1.8 to 3.1 kg of green mass per square meter, which ensures a good output of product with proper care. Leaves have a smooth surface with a serrated edge and very tender tissue, making them ideal for use in salads and other fresh dishes. Moreover, ripe coriander seeds of this variety are widely used as a spicy seasoning, adding a characteristic aroma and flavor to dishes.
For successful cultivation, it is recommended to sow early in the spring in moist and fertilized soil to a depth of 1-3 cm with row spacing of 20-30 and 7-10 cm. Seedlings appear in 14-20 days, and for continuous fresh greens production, sowings can be repeated every 2-3 weeks until mid-July. When grown under film, year-round cultivation is possible. Plant care includes loosening of inter-row spaces, weeding, watering, and thinning. Greens should be cut at the root when reaching a height of 10-15 cm, which promotes rapid regrowth and obtaining a new crop.
