Coriander variety Caribe (Caribe) is a high-yielding Dutch selection from the company Bejo Zaden. This variety is late-maturing, with a vegetation period from germination to harvest of about 75 days, although some sources indicate a period of 38-40 days, which may depend on growing conditions. Caribe is distinguished by good resistance to bolting, even with early sowing, as well as high resistance to cold and temperature fluctuations, making it versatile for various climatic conditions. The plant forms a compact, medium-height, well-leafy bushy plant with dark green, deeply lobed, medium-sized leaves with a glossy surface. The leaves have a strong aroma and delicate flavor, making the herb particularly valuable for culinary use. Caribe coriander is widely used fresh for making salads, hot dishes, appetizers, and healthy drinks. Additionally, dried leaves and seeds are used for preservation and baking, expanding its applications. Caribe coriander seeds are supplied in the original Bejo Zaden packaging from the Netherlands, guaranteeing high quality and compliance with stated characteristics. The variety is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and under plastic covers, as well as in containers on balconies. Sowing can be done directly into the soil in early April or as seedlings in May. Due to its uniformity and stable yield, Caribe coriander is ideal for commercial cultivation, including in salad lines.
