Venera

Coriander variety 'Venere' is a late-maturing vegetable plant that reaches economic maturity within 30–35 days after germination. The plant is compact, forming a dense and lush bush of greens up to 70-80 cm high, with dark green tender leaves and light green petioles. The medium-sized leaves, covered with a weak waxy coating, have a pleasant tender taste and exquisite aroma, making them ideal for use in fresh salads, appetizers, and dish garnishing. The yield of greens reaches 3 kg per square meter, and plants are recommended to be cut at the root level at a height of 12–17 cm.

Variety 'Venere' is valued for its high content of essential oils and rich vitamin composition, including vitamins A, B1, B2, C, and carotene. These qualities give the leaves and seeds a strong pleasant aroma and make them in demand as a spice. Coriander seeds are widely used to flavor bakery and confectionery products, marinades, sausages, as well as as seasonings for first and second courses. In addition, coriander is an excellent honey plant and has useful properties for colds and stomach ailments, and is also recommended for people with weak vision.

For successful cultivation, coriander seeds are sown in moistened soil to a depth of 1.5–3 cm with row spacing of 20–30 cm and distance between plants of 7–10 cm. Light loamy and clayey soils are preferred. Throughout the season, regular watering, weeding, and soil loosening are recommended. To ensure continuous harvesting of fresh greens, additional sowings are made with an interval of 2–3 weeks until mid-summer. Due to their taste and useful qualities, as well as high yield, coriander 'Venere' is an excellent choice for growing in gardens and home plots.
