COMMANDER is a new variety of coriander from Dutch selection, distinguished by improved resilience and high productivity. The plant is annual, compact, and densely foliated, with large bright-green leaves that have a delicate and strong aroma. This variety of coriander is characterized by slowed bolting, which allows the greens to be used fresh for a longer period. The plant is cold-hardy and rich in essential oils, which give the leaves and seeds a pleasant aroma.
The COMMANDER variety has a growing season of about 70-75 days, making it early-maturing and suitable for growing in bunches, as well as for processing—drying greens and obtaining aromatic seeds. The plant is low, semi-erect, with a semi-erected light-green leaf rosette, smooth and very delicate. The flowers of this variety are pink, and the weight of one plant is approximately 35-40 grams. Green yield reaches 1.8-2.0 kg per square meter.
COMMANDER is widely used in cooking: tender leaves are excellent as a seasoning for salads, first and second courses, while seeds are used in marinades and confectionery. Moreover, this variety of coriander is an excellent honey plant and possesses beneficial properties against colds and gastrointestinal diseases, making it not only tasty but also a healthy spice.
