Description SMOLENSKY 29
Smolensky 29 is a variety of red clover (Trifolium pratense L.) characterized by a diploid and two-cut type. It is distinguished by high yield: green mass reaches 380–400 ц/га after two cuts, dry matter is 75–80 ц/га, and seed yield is 2–3 ц/га. Crude protein content in dry matter is approximately 17.3%, ensuring high nutritional value of feed. Fiber in green mass is about 26.4%, which promotes good digestion in animals.

The Smolensky 29 variety has good winter hardiness, retaining 93–96% of plants by spring. It is resistant to root rots and rust, and withstands waterlogging and low soil acidity. Thanks to these qualities, the variety is recommended for cultivation in various regions, including Central, West Siberian, Ural, Northern, Northwestern, Volga-Vyatka, and Central Black Earth.

Smolensky 29 is used both for single-species sowings and in grass mixes with early cereals. Sowing rate is 5 кг/га for seed sowing and 12–16 кг/га for feed purposes. Early maturity and high productivity make this variety attractive for farmers seeking high-quality and nutritious feed for animals.
