DescriptionArtemida
The blue lucerne variety «Artemida» is a medium-maturing, multi-cropping plant with a semi-erect bush and a corolla coloration that is predominantly dark blue and purple. The inflorescence is of medium size and density, cylindrical with two to three loops of pods, and the seeds are kidney-shaped and bean-shaped yellow with a mass of 1000 seeds ranging from 2.0 to 2.2 g. Thanks to its deep root system, the variety adapts well to dry conditions and improves soil structure, contributing to its stability and productivity.
«Artemida» is characterized by high tolerance to major diseases, particularly dwarfism of lucerne, which ensures greater longevity and stability of the variety. The advantages of the variety are especially evident in the third and fourth years of life. Under irrigation conditions with 3-4 cuttings, it can form a yield of dry matter up to 130-140 c/ha and seeds of 6-8 c/ha. Drought resistance and high seed productivity make this variety economically viable both under irrigation and dryland farming.
Moreover, the variety exhibits high winter hardiness and high protein content, making it a valuable fodder crop. The seeding rate is 25–30 kg/ha, and packaging is sold in 25 kg bags. Thanks to its biological and agronomic characteristics, «Artemida» competes successfully with other lucerne varieties, ensuring stable and high yields under various climatic conditions.
