KRASNORYUZHSKAYA 1 — a species of variable lucerne, intended for cultivation in various regions, including the North Caucasus, Lower Volga, and Ural regions. The plant is characterized by medium or medium-high height with a semi-erect bush, which ensures ease of care and harvesting. Leaves have a light green color, medium length and width, while the central leaflet differs with medium length and narrow shape. Flowers are predominantly blue-violet with high frequency of occurrence, while plants with cream, white, or yellow flowers are practically absent, indicating the stability of variety traits.
The variety demonstrates high productivity: average yield of dry matter in the North Caucasus region reaches 48.5 centners per hectare, which exceeds the standard by 2.7 centners. In the Krasnodar region, the yield of dry matter was even higher — 78.3 centners per hectare, with a significant addition to the standard of 3.0 centners. Average dry matter content in green mass is about 20.1%, which ensures high quality of fodder base. The vegetation period of the variety is 76 days, which allows effective planning of crop rotation and use of crops.
KRASNORYUZHSKAYA 1 is characterized by resistance to diseases, confirmed by the absence of damage during trials. High productivity and adaptability to various soil and climatic conditions, including chernozem and meadow soils, make this variety attractive for agricultural production. Thanks to its characteristics, the variety is suitable for obtaining both green mass and dry matter, which expands its application possibilities in fodder production.
