About product
Description
For successful cultivation of 'Kolobok', choose sunny, wind-protected locations with loose, well-drained, humus-rich soil. High groundwater levels and acidic soils are discouraged, as they may cause diseases and plant death. Watering should be moderate, using settled or rainwater, especially avoiding overwatering to prevent root rot. During dry periods, watering should be increased to maintain flower decorativeness and prevent stem lignification. Phosphorus-potassium fertilizers should be applied during bud formation to improve flowering.
'Kolobok' chrysanthemum withstands winter well in open ground without covering, but during winter preparation, it is important to prevent root saturation. Covering the plant should only occur after the soil has slightly frozen and stable negative temperatures have set in. The plant does not tolerate shade or drafts, so planting on the south side of a house or other structure is optimal. Due to its resistance to low temperatures and prolonged abundant blooming, 'Kolobok' chrysanthemum is an excellent choice for landscaping and cut flowers, adorning gardens with vibrant colors late in summer and autumn.
