Chrysanthemum Cosmic

Breeding Excellence from the Gryshko National Botanical Garden

The 'Kosmichna' chrysanthemum is the embodiment of compactness and refined style, developed by breeders at the M.M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden. Unlike many hybrids that require constant pruning to maintain shape, this variety is genetically programmed to produce a dense, perfectly spherical form. Its dwarf size (up to 30 cm) makes it a find for landscape designers working on garden foregrounds.

Aesthetics of Two Contrasting Tones

The variety's visual profile is built on a unique combination of white and violet hues. The medium-flower structure (5–10 cm) combined with a globe-shaped inflorescence allows 'Kosmichna' to dominate potted arrangements. It is not merely a decorative plant, but a practical tool for creating living borders.

Strengths and Limitations

• Compactness: Ideal for container gardening and terraces where controlling plant volume is essential.
• Versatility: Thrives equally well in open ground and in pots.
• Light Requirement: Demands sunny locations; in shade, it loses its spherical density and color saturation.
• Frost Resistance: Features average tolerance levels, necessitating protection or indoor storage during harsh winters.

'Kosmichna' is the optimal choice for those seeking a balance between professional selection and ease of maintenance. It is forgiving for beginners but truly flourishes with regular watering and exposure to bright, direct light.
