Chrysanthemum Scythian Gold

Cultivation Guidelines: Maximizing Performance

The 'Scythian Gold' chrysanthemum, developed by the M.M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden, is a robust choice for any garden. Based on operational experience, the key to success with this bush-type variety is placement; it demands full sun exposure to maintain its vibrant orange-yellow color and dense structure. When planted in optimal conditions, this 30–60 cm tall plant remains stable and requires no additional supports.

Maintenance and Durability

One of the primary benefits of this variety is its exceptional winter hardiness. As a grower, you will appreciate its low-maintenance profile: it thrives in local conditions with minimal intervention. Its early flowering cycle (starting in September) provides a long-lasting show that persists for over 40 days, making it an excellent tactical choice for extending the season of color in your garden.

• Flower Quality: With a bloom diameter of 5–10 cm, these decorative flowers are top-tier for floral arrangements and professional cutting.
• Environmental Resilience: High frost tolerance ensures the plant survives cold snaps without the need for complex winter protection.
• Maintenance Requirements: Aside from consistent sunlight and balanced watering, the plant maintains its orderly appearance through the end of the season.

Choosing 'Scythian Gold' means opting for predictability. It is a reliable performer that balances aesthetic impact with practical ease of use, ensuring your garden remains vibrant well into the late autumn.
