Chrysanthemum Oxamitka

Cultivation Practice: From Planting to Bloom

The 'Oksamytka' chrysanthemum is a breeding development from the M.M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden, perfectly adapted to Ukrainian climatic conditions. As a garden owner, you will appreciate the predictability of this variety: with minimal maintenance, the bush forms a neat, compact structure that does not require complex staking.

Agrotechnical Features and Performance

• Dimensions: The medium-height form (30-60 cm) makes this variety versatile for mid-tier garden beds or border landscaping.
• Bloom: September is the peak of its ornamental value. Unlike late-blooming varieties, 'Oksamytka' shows the full intensity of its orange inflorescences before the first serious frosts arrive.
• Flower: The 5-10 cm diameter allows the plant to maintain its ornamental appeal even during prolonged rains, which is critical for open-ground cultivation.

Maintenance is limited to standard procedures: moderate watering and timely deadheading to stimulate regrowth. Thanks to the resilience engineered by the breeder, the variety demonstrates excellent vitality without requiring specific growth regulators or intensive fertilization. 'Oksamytka' is a choice for stability: you get a consistent orange color accent in your garden that enhances the site's appeal in early autumn, when most other crops are entering dormancy.
