Carrot variety Varvara – an early-maturing and mid-maturing type of Berlinerum, distinguished by high yield and attractive root vegetable appearance. The vegetation period varies from 75 to 105 days depending on growing conditions. Root vegetables have a cylindrical or elongated-conical shape with smooth bright orange skin and rich orange juicy pulp. Average root vegetable weight is from 100 to 250 grams, length is 15-18 cm, diameter is 3-4 cm. The variety is characterized by high marketability of the product, reaching about 81%, which makes it attractive for commercial cultivation. Carrot Varvara has a sweet taste without bitterness and high carotene content, making it healthy and delicious. Root vegetables are dense, juicy, and resistant to cracking and bolting, which ensures good preservation during storage and transportation. Due to these qualities, the variety is suitable for fresh consumption, juice preparation, canning, freezing, and winter storage. The variety is not prone to bolting and cracking, which significantly facilitates care and improves harvest quality. Cultivation of carrot Varvara is recommended in open ground with early spring sowing, and also possible summer or autumn sowing. Seeds are planted at a depth of 1-2.5 cm in furrows about 5 cm wide with a row spacing of about 20 cm. After seedlings appear, plants are thinned to ensure optimal root vegetable growth. The variety has high yield – from 5 to 7 kg per square meter, which makes it a profitable choice for gardeners and farmers.
