Description Rif
RIF carrot variety is a mid-season hybrid intended for cultivation in the Central region. The root crops have the shape of a truncated cone, are longer compared to the Chantenay 2461 variety, and reach a mass of up to 240 grams. This variety is characterized by high yield – up to 8 kg per square meter, and the marketable yield ranges from 450 to 590 centners per hectare, which corresponds to the level of standard varieties Canada F1 and Chantenay 2461. The maximum yield was recorded in the Ryazan region and reached 657 centners per hectare, with the marketable product output being 86-90%. RIF carrot has a high content of useful substances: it contains carotene (up to 20 mg per 100 g of raw product), carbohydrates, and easily digestible proteins. The dry matter content reaches 13.4%, and total sugar – 8.6%. Due to these characteristics, the variety is excellent for fresh consumption, canning, winter storage, and growing for bunch products. This carrot variety is distinguished not only by high productivity but also by versatile application. It retains its qualities well during long-term storage and is suitable for various processing methods. RIF carrot will be an excellent choice for both personal estates and commercial cultivation, ensuring a stable and high-quality harvest.
