Purple Sun carrot is a mid-season high-yielding hybrid with a period from germination to harvest of 120-130 days. The plant features an erect leaf rosette with long green leaves, which have an anthocyanin tint at the base. The roots have an elongated-cylindrical or spindle shape, up to 25 cm long and weighing from 130 to 200 g. Their distinguishing feature is the dark purple skin color with a slightly lighter core, giving the carrot an attractive appearance and high anthocyanin content, responsible for the rich color and beneficial properties.

Purple Sun boasts excellent taste qualities: the roots are juicy and sweet, making them ideal for fresh consumption, juice preparation, as well as braising, boiling, and baking.
