Carrot AMBER PLOV CARROT

A golden touch for your kitchen garden

Yellow carrots are a rarity in most home gardens, and the 'Yantarniy Plov' (Amber Pilaf) variety from SDK-SIDS is the perfect way to diversify your harvest. Unlike standard orange varieties, this carrot offers a mild, almost sugary flavor without the usual bitterness. This makes it an ideal choice for culinary applications, particularly for traditional pilaf, where the carrot maintains its shape and attractive golden hue throughout cooking.

Agronomic Profile and Benefits

• Bunching Potential: Specially developed for early harvest, with roots reaching a marketable weight of 120–150 grams. This allows farmers to offer fresh, tender product at the very start of the season.
• Geometry and Appearance: The conical shape makes harvesting and washing easy. With a length of 15–20 cm, it fits standard produce packaging requirements perfectly.
• Nutritional Value: The vibrant yellow color comes from high lutein content, giving 'Yantarniy Plov' a competitive edge in the niche market of organic and colorful vegetables.

Strengths: High marketability and excellent transportability when stored correctly. The variety is generally easy to manage, though it requires loose, well-drained soil to achieve its characteristic conical shape. Weaknesses: Like many high-sugar dessert varieties, it requires consistent irrigation during the peak growth phase to avoid cracking.

This variety is a find for both hobby gardeners and commercial farmers targeting the premium or 'colored' vegetable market. If you are looking to liven up your produce stall or surprise customers with unique culinary combinations, 'Yantarniy Plov' is an obvious choice.
