Assol — mid-late maturing — a decorative cabbage variety suitable for cultivation in open ground, for fresh consumption, for decorating dishes, interiors, and ornamental gardening.
The plant has a compact leaf rosette with a diameter of 35-45 cm and a height of 30-40 cm. The rosette color is light green at the outermost tier, gradually transitioning to white-yellow in the center. Leaves are medium-sized, round with slightly wavy edges, and the central vein is light green. Petiole length is 5-8 cm. Yield is 8-11 kg/m2.
Vitamin C content is 46.76-48.28 mg/100g, sugars 0.62-0.68 %, dry matter 8.5-9.0%. The variety is resistant to bacterial diseases and leaf-feeding pests, and to low temperatures; color expression does not require prolonged exposure to low temperatures.
