RAFINAD

Refinad carrot is a mid-season variety with a maturity period of 115 to 125 days. This variety is distinguished by high yield and a sweet, rich taste, due to its high sugar and carotene content. The root crops have a uniform cylindrical shape, smooth surface, and bright yellow-orange color. They are large, weighing from 150 to 200 grams, with dense and juicy pulp, making them versatile for fresh consumption, juice preparation, baby food, and processing.

To grow Refinad carrots, it is recommended to choose light, well-processed soils, preferably loose or loamy. Soil preparation begins with autumn plowing to a depth of about 25 cm. Sowing is carried out early when soil moisture is sufficient, starting from the end of March to the first half of May. Before planting, seeds are soaked in water or growth stimulators, and can also be buried in the ground for 10-12 days to improve germination. After seedlings emerge, it is important to loosen the soil to avoid crust formation, which hinders growth and may deform the root crops. Also, thinning of plants is conducted at the stage of two first leaves and, if necessary, repeated to ensure optimal density.

The Refinad variety is characterized by good disease resistance, low soil requirements, and resistance to cracking and bolting. These qualities make it a reliable choice for various climatic conditions and allow obtaining large, juicy, and sweet root crops with rich color.
