Olimpo

Olimpo F1 carrot is a mid-season Nantes-type hybrid developed by the Dutch company Hazera and also produced by the French company Vilmorin. The vegetation period ranges from 100 to 125 days, allowing cultivation in various climatic conditions. The hybrid is highly resistant to diseases such as alternaria and powdery mildew, ensuring a stable yield even under adverse conditions. The recommended planting density is 0.7 to 1.0 million seeds per hectare, while avoiding overcrowding and excessive soil moisture to achieve maximum productivity.

The carrots of the Olimpo variety have a bright orange color, cylindrical or conical shape with a rounded tip and smooth, even surface without bumps or eyes. The length of the roots reaches 17-20 cm, and the weight varies from 150 to 200 grams. The internal flesh has high sugar content (about 8%) and carotene (16 mg), as well as significant amounts of vitamins and microelements, which gives the carrot a sweet taste and makes it healthy.

The Olimpo hybrid is suitable for both fresh consumption and processing in the food industry. Thanks to its good storability and ability to retain flavor qualities, the carrot can be stored in cool, dark conditions for up to 4-5 months. Additionally, the variety is adapted for mechanical harvesting, which simplifies the harvest and allows transportation of roots over long distances without loss of quality. All these characteristics make Olimpo carrot a versatile and widely sought-after variety for various purposes.
