Cumbre

Carrot Cumbre — an early, high-yielding hybrid of the Chantenay type, maturing in 105-115 days after sowing. The roots have the typical conical shape for this type, 12-16 cm long, with uniform dark-orange flesh, including the juicy core, which does not differ in hue from the main color. The hybrid has increased levels of carotene and sugars, and under proper fertilization does not accumulate nitrates, ensuring high product quality and excellent taste characteristics.

The leaf rosette is strong and healthy, with high tolerance to leaf alternaria spot disease, which contributes to plant resilience in field conditions. Carrot Cumbre also exhibits high resistance to root cracking and splitting, making it suitable for late autumn and early spring sowing. These characteristics ensure stable yields and allow the hybrid to be used both for early consumption and for long-term storage when sown later.

The hybrid is especially recommended for cultivation in open ground and is suitable for processing industries due to its intense root coloration, which surpasses other varieties. The recommended planting density varies from 0.8 to 1.5 million seeds per hectare depending on cultivation objectives: 1-1.2 million/ha for early harvest and up to 1.5 million/ha for mass production.
