Carrot Kreiser

Stability and Marketability: 'Kreyser' Carrot for Commercial Farming

The 'Kreyser' variety is a specialized solution for producers aiming to cover both the early 'bunch' market and long-term storage requirements. Developed by researchers at the Federal Scientific Center for Vegetable Growing, this variety combines precise root geometry with consistent commercial weight, both of which are critical for effective pre-sale preparation.

Practical Applications in Farming

• Bunching Production: With a maturity period of 90–100 days, 'Kreyser' allows growers to enter the market with high-quality, uniform orange roots early in the season. Its dense structure and vibrant color provide excellent shelf appeal when sold in bunches.
• Long-term Storage: The variety shows excellent keeping quality. It is selected by farms that aim to extend their sales season into winter while minimizing storage losses. The optimal root weight (150–200 grams) is highly convenient for automated packing and mesh-bagging processes.

Field experience confirms that 'Kreyser' is highly adaptable to various growing conditions and does not require overly complex agronomic interventions. It is chosen by farmers who prioritize results: obtaining a harvest with predictable dimensions and high flesh density. This is a balanced choice for producers who refuse to compromise on quality and want to ensure high turnover on their seed investment.
