Carrot Baby

Focus on Early Harvest

The 'Detskaya' carrot variety is a targeted selection designed specifically for the production of early-market bunching carrots. Within the agricultural market, this variety occupies a key niche for both professional producers and home gardeners who prioritize a rapid turnaround to obtain marketable yields. Developed by Elizaveta Romanovna Kudryavtseva, the variety ensures consistent varietal traits selected specifically for an accelerated growth cycle.

Cultivation and Technical Specs

With a growing period of 60–70 days, this variety is a top choice for early-season harvest. The short maturation cycle allows for early spring sowing, ensuring the arrival of fresh, vitamin-rich produce by the beginning of summer.

• Root Characteristics: Features a consistent cylindrical shape and a deep, attractive orange color.
• Dimensions: The roots reach an optimal length of 15–20 cm, making them perfectly suited for standard bunching packaging.
• Usage: Primarily intended for fresh market sales and direct consumption.

The reputation of 'Detskaya' is built on predictability. Unlike late-maturing varieties meant for long-term storage, this carrot is engineered for quick turnover in the fresh produce segment. Due to its uniform size and high visual appeal, it is highly sought after by commercial vegetable growers focusing on the early harvest window, as well as by small-scale farmers serving local retail markets.
