VEHA cabbage - a high-yielding variety of leaf cabbage intended for cultivation in open ground. It takes 110-120 days from germination to technical maturity. The plant is characterized by an upright stem and broadly lanceolate or lyrate dark green leaves, which are quite coarse and do not form a head. This variety is distinguished by high frost resistance and can withstand a temperature drop to -14°C, allowing for harvesting even in mid-November and preserving nutrients during frosts without the need for special storage conditions. VEHA cabbage is widely used as green fodder for domestic animals, including cattle, goats, rabbits, poultry, and other animals. In terms of nutritional value, it surpasses many fodder root crops, containing 16-17% dry matter, about 7% sugars, 4-5% protein, and up to 150 mg of ascorbic acid. These indicators provide balanced nutrition and contribute to the normal development and productivity of animals. Due to its food and fodder merits, frost resistance, and high yield, the VEHA variety is a reliable fodder crop for farmers and pet owners. The possibility of harvesting and using the crop after frosts makes this variety particularly convenient for long-term storage and use during the cold season.
