TARAKANOVSKY

Tarakanovsky — a bee-pollinated cucumber hybrid designed for cultivation during the winter-spring period and extended crop rotations. The plants are vigorous with strong branching; up to three fruits form in each leaf axil, ensuring high yields up to 20 kg per square meter. The hybrid is suitable for greenhouse, windowsill, and balcony cultivation, and is tolerant of low light, making it versatile for various growing conditions.

The fruits of Tarakanovsky cucumber are cylindrical, 18–21 cm long, dark green with characteristic light stripes covering up to one-third of the fruit length. The fruit surface is slightly ribbed with large bumps and white spines. The cucumbers have a distinct cucumber aroma, crisp texture, and excellent flavor, making them ideal for fresh salads and pickling.

The hybrid exhibits comprehensive resistance to major cucumber diseases, including root rot, powdery mildew, and ascochytosis. It is medium-maturing, with fruiting periods ranging from 45 to 55 days after germination.
