Periwinkle

Cabbage variety "Periwinkle" is a late-maturing, high-yielding hybrid developed based on the "Turquoise" variety and intended for cultivation under various climatic conditions, including open and protected ground. The vegetation period ranges from 130 to 150 days, ensuring the formation of dense, round heads weighing from 2 to 4 kilograms. The leaves are white, crisp and juicy, slightly covered with a waxy coating, with a slightly sweet flavor without pronounced spiciness. The variety exhibits high resistance to fusarium and cracking, contributing to long-term storage of the harvest up to 7 months without loss of quality or taste. Cabbage "Periwinkle" is cold-tolerant and requires ample light and moisture, making it suitable for cultivation in different regions. For optimal results, it is recommended to grow it on fertile soils with the application of organic and mineral fertilizers. Sowing can be done either by seedlings or direct sowing of seeds into the soil at a depth of 1.5–2 cm. Seedlings are transplanted at 45–50 days after sowing. Due to its stable yield and resistance to adverse weather conditions, this variety is popular among farmers and suitable for commercial cultivation.
