Blueberry "Liberty" is a tall variety reaching up to 1.7 m in height and about 1.5 m in width. Bushes are upright with strong vertical shoots, covered with dense dark-green glossy leaves of medium size, oval in shape with pointed edges.
The variety belongs to the late-ripening group; harvesting begins at the end of August and continues until the last week of September. Berries are large, round in shape, with a small waxy bloom, dark blue in color. Average weight of one berry is 1.8–2.8 grams, skin is tough, flesh is dense and aromatic. The taste combines sweetness (sugar content around 14.2%) with a slight sourness (acids 1.1%), as well as a high level of vitamin C – 18.1%. Berries easily separate from shoots during harvesting.
"Liberty" is self-pollinating, however, in the presence of other varieties, cross-pollination improves and yield increases. Bushes are capable of producing up to 8 kg of berries in the fourth year after planting. The variety is frost-hardy down to -25 °C, withstands long-term storage and transportation well, which makes it attractive for both farmers and home garden enthusiasts. Berries are suitable for freezing, canning, making jams, jellies, yogurts and other desserts.
Choosing blueberry "Liberty", you get large, aromatic berries with high antioxidant and phenol content, which retain their qualities during long-term storage and transportation. This makes the variety commercially profitable for sale and at the same time an excellent choice for those who value natural, quality blueberries in their garden.
