Strawberry Florida Elyana

Maximizing Yield: The Potential of Florida Eliana

For professional strawberry growers focusing on the early market and extended production cycles, the Florida Eliana variety from Florida Foundation Seed Producers has proven to be a breakthrough. Developed by breeders Craig Chandler and the Yaltir Tarim team, this variety features a rare combination of large fruit size and an extended harvesting window.

Business Advantages

• Fruit Size and Marketability: Berries reach 40–50 grams while maintaining a uniform conical shape and a vibrant red color. Due to high fruit firmness, the harvest handles transportation exceptionally well, which is vital for the fresh market.
• Plant Health: The main advantage is its resistance to root and fruit rots. The variety demonstrates strong resistance to gray mold (Botrytis), which significantly reduces fungicide costs and minimizes post-harvest losses during high-humidity periods.
• Early Maturation: With a maturation period of only 35–40 days, growers can reach the market during the peak price window.

Why Choose This Variety?

Florida Eliana is the ideal choice for farmers who do not want to compromise between early harvesting and production volume. With yields of 1.5–2.0 kg per plant, it ranks among the leaders for fresh consumption varieties. The prolonged fruiting period serves as a powerful business tool: instead of a single harvest spike, growers can extend their sales season, optimizing labor and logistics. This is a high-performance solution for those committed to intensive farming practices and premium-quality fruit.
