The 'Ruby Clover' strawberry variety is characterized by a medium-sized, spreading bush with a robust root system and dark green leaves. The flowers are positioned beneath the leaves in a umbel shape, attracting pollinating insects such as bees and butterflies. A moderate number of runners are formed, so it is recommended to periodically remove them to maintain the health of the bush. This variety is not remontant, making it particularly suitable for home cultivation and commercial use in open ground and greenhouses. The 'Ruby Clover' berries are distinguished by their large size and classic conical shape with a cherry-ruby skin hue, sometimes transitioning to a maroon color. The berry flesh is dense, juicy, and red, with a characteristic fragrant aroma and a delicate sweet taste with a slight tang. Due to the density of the flesh, the berries withstand transportation well and do not lose their shape during processing, making them an excellent choice for making compotes and jams. The variety has a high yield: up to one kilogram of berries can be harvested from one bush per season, which ripen simultaneously in early July. The 'Ruby Clover' variety is distinguished by high resistance to diseases, including powdery mildew, brown and white spot, reducing the need for frequent treatments. The variety's winter hardiness allows it to withstand frosts up to 25 degrees, but to maintain plant health, it is recommended to cover the bushes with a layer of straw mulch about 8 cm thick. The universal purpose of the berries allows them to be used both for fresh consumption and for processing, and the attractive appearance and high quality make this variety in demand both in amateur gardening and in commercial cultivation.
