The standout feature of «Maria» is its genetically fixed resistance to Ascochyta blight. In temperate climatic conditions, this is a decisive factor; minimizing fungal infection allows for reduced fungicide use while maintaining a healthy leaf surface for grain filling.

• Vegetation period: 91–110 days (mid-season segment). This provides flexibility in scheduling planting and harvesting, helping to avoid peak heat stress during the flowering stage.
• Plant structure: The medium-height profile (61–80 cm) ensures optimal stand density and is well-suited for mechanized harvesting, reducing lodging risks when standard seeding rates are applied.
