KUDASHEVSKIE is a variety of fodder vetch (Vicia faba L.) intended for cultivation both for green mass and as seeds. The plant reaches a height of up to 90 cm, has high stem and node placement, as well as moderate leaf length with a characteristic blue-green hue. The flowers are long, the wing is covered with melanin spots, and the sail has weak-medium anthocyanin coloration. The pods are semi-vertical, of medium width and length, without noticeable curvature; the seeds are square, widely elliptical, beige in color with a black hilum.
The variety is characterized by high protein content – 21-23% in the grain and 16-18% in green mass. This makes it a valuable component when formulating compound feeds for livestock. Yield is manifested both as grain and green mass: up to 60 centners per hectare as seeds and from 450 to 500 centners per hectare as green mass.
KUDASHEVSKIE is suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions due to its medium flowering duration and full development. High yield of green mass (12.0-23.0 t/ha) and seeds (2.5-3.0 t/ha) makes it an attractive choice for farmers seeking efficient use of arable land both for feeding livestock and for grain production.
