The 'Novator' cabbage hybrid is a late-maturing variety with a ripening period of 130–135 days, characterized by high yield and excellent head keeping quality. The heads are round-shaped, have a rich dark green color, and weigh an average of 4 to 4.5 kg, making them attractive for both fresh market sales and processing. Due to its resistance to thrips, fusarium, and internal spot necrosis, 'Novator' maintains quality for over seven months under proper storage conditions.
The vegetative period of the hybrid is characterized by active development of the root system and leaf apparatus at the beginning of growth, while head formation starts only towards the end of the period. This allows for effective use of nitrogen fertilization and soil fertility to extend growth and increase crop mass. High planting density – 30–32 thousand plants per hectare – ensures a stable high output, and good suppression of weed plants improves crop purity.
'Novator' is also suitable for mechanized harvesting thanks to the uniformity of heads and resistance to external stresses. Its characteristics make it an ideal choice for both farming enterprises and commercial companies aiming to obtain a quality product with a long shelf life.
