Beans RUSSIAN BLACKS

Field Performance of «Russkie Chernye» Beans

For growers looking for a reliable, low-maintenance crop, the «Russkie Chernye» (Russian Black) variety offers a proven track record. From an operational perspective, this variety is characterized by high adaptability and ease of management. The plants reach heights of 61 to 120 cm, necessitating proper spacing to ensure structural integrity and prevent lodging once the pods reach full maturity.

Operational Guidelines and Maintenance

• Cycle Management: With an early maturity period of 75–90 days, this variety fits perfectly into short growing seasons. The seeds exhibit high germination energy, reducing the need for expensive replanting and ensuring uniform field establishment.
• Harvesting and Yield: The 8–10 cm pods are designed for efficient harvesting. They show excellent resistance to cracking, even if harvesting is slightly delayed, which provides a comfortable buffer for field logistics. The mottled grain is highly valued for both its nutritional profile and culinary versatility.
• Maintenance Requirements: The variety is robust and shows strong recovery potential following environmental stress. Routine maintenance focuses on moisture management during the flowering and pod-filling phases.

Developed by the Federal Scientific Center for Vegetable Growing (authored by N. M. Nasrullaev et al.), this variety is engineered for predictable performance without the need for complex, resource-heavy protocols. Its combination of high yield potential and low-maintenance requirements makes it an ideal choice for efficient, results-oriented farming. The «Russkie Chernye» bean remains a standard-bearer for stability and ease of cultivation in its class.
