Krushevnica is a medium-late maturing asparagus bean variety, characterized by tall climbing plants reaching up to 200 cm in height, requiring support. The pods of this variety can reach up to 20 cm in length, have a yellow color, lack parchment layers and fibers, making them particularly convenient for consumption. The seeds are large, elliptical, and white. On a single plant, from 70 to 77 pods mature simultaneously, while the commercial yield reaches 2.5 kg per square meter. Immature fruits are widely used in home cooking and are also suitable for canning and freezing. Bean Krushevnica is a heat-loving crop requiring specific conditions for successful cultivation. Sowing seeds is done in open ground at a depth of 2 to 5 cm after preliminary soaking for swelling. The optimal temperature for seed germination is 12-15°C, and for plant growth and development is 20-25°C. Seedlings are sensitive to frost, so it is recommended to place the crop on well-warmed, water-permeable, loamy, and limed soils. Care for plants includes timely watering, loosening, weeding, and feeding, which contributes to maintaining the health and high productivity of the crop. To obtain a stable yield, it is necessary to consider possible diseases and pests characteristic of beans. Among the main diseases, root rots, ascochitis, gray mold, powdery mildew, downy mildew, and rust are noted. Of the pests, the most dangerous is the seedling fly. The cultivation technology includes sowing seeds, seedling care, transplanting to a permanent place, regular harvest collection, and soil preparation for the next cycle. The harvest period is extended, which requires multiple collections as the beans mature, ensuring freshness and product quality.
