Laura Bean is a mid-season asparagus bean variety that matures in an average of 55-70 days, making it attractive for growing under various climatic conditions. The plants are bush-type, compact, and sturdy, reaching a height of 35 to 45 cm. The pods of the Laura variety have a rich golden-yellow color, a length of 11 to 15 cm, are fleshy and fiberless, ensuring a pleasant taste and ease of preparation.
The variety is distinguished by high resistance to diseases such as anthracnose and bacterial blight, as well as its ability to withstand sharp temperature fluctuations, which allows for successful cultivation in open ground throughout Ukraine. For optimal growth, the bean prefers loose and light soils, regular watering and fertilization, which promotes stable and high yield.
Laura is versatile in use: its pods are suitable for fresh consumption, canning, and freezing, while maintaining their taste qualities and nutritional value. The culture is rich in protein, vitamins A, B, C, as well as sugar and mineral salts, making it a beneficial and nutritious product for a diverse diet.
