Common bean variety 'Anniversary 287' is a bushy plant with a compact form and a green stem 22–44 cm long. Leaves are trifoliate, flowers are light lavender or pink, depending on the stage of development. Pods are bean-shaped, may be straight or elongated-cylindrical with a slight curl at the tip, colored yellowish-brown at biological maturity. Seeds are oval-pod-shaped, white or beige with a brown mottled pattern, 1000-seed weight is 350–370 g. The variety is sugar-type and classified as early or mid-season depending on the region of cultivation. Vegetative period varies from 43–53 to 85–90 days, allowing its use in various climatic conditions, including the North Caucasus region and Omsk Oblast. Bean yield reaches 0.9–2.5 kg per square meter, seeds — 0.1–0.2 kg per square meter, corresponding to 29 centners per hectare under favorable conditions. Protein content in seeds is high — 24.9–25.8%, and taste qualities are rated as good to excellent. Variety 'Anniversary 287' is resistant to anthracnose and other diseases, confirmed by low disease incidence in field conditions. Medium-height plants with intense green leaf color, promoting good photosynthesis and growth. Due to its characteristics, the bean is suitable for cultivation in various zones, ensuring stable and high-quality yields, as well as high culinary value.
