Valya basil variety is a mid-season compact plant standing 30 to 35 cm tall with bright green leaves and a pronounced spicy aroma. One plant reaches a mass of 60-70 g. This variety is distinguished by its high ability to re-branch and regrow leaves, ensuring a prolonged harvest period. During the budding phase, Valya basil contains the maximum amount of essential oils, vitamins, trace elements, and phytoncides, making it especially valuable as both a culinary and medicinal crop.

The plant is demanding in terms of warmth and light, so it is recommended to plant it in sheltered areas protected from cold winds and well-lit by the sun. Valya basil is moisture-loving and responds positively to the application of nitrogen fertilizers, which contribute to an increase in green mass. To improve bushiness and stimulate the growth of side shoots, the practice of pinching off plant tops is employed. Thanks to its decorative qualities, the variety is suitable for growing in pots and on window sills, where it not only decorates the interior but also purifies the air and repels insects.

This basil is widely used in cooking due to its rich aroma, which combines notes of licorice and clove.
