LUCHANO

The Luchano basil variety is a medium or early-maturing large-leaf variety with green ovoid leaves, possessing a characteristic peppery-clove aroma with hints of anise. Plants form a rosette 20 to 45 cm high and 21-29 cm in diameter, with a large number of small leaves. The average plant weight is 20-30 g, and yield reaches 0.9-1.0 kg per square meter, making this variety attractive for growing greens.

Luchano basil seeds are suitable for growing under various conditions: in open ground, greenhouses, protected soil, as well as in flow-through culture. This variety is recommended for use in salad lines, vertical farms, and greenhouse complexes, ensuring universality and high productivity during cultivation. The sowing rate is from 0.5 to 2.0 kg per hectare, which allows optimizing the planting depending on conditions and cultivation goals.

Basil belongs to the genus Ocimum and is an important vegetable plant known for its beneficial properties. Leaves contain essential oils, phytoncides, ascorbic acid, carotene, B and PP group vitamins, as well as other biologically active substances. Thanks to these components, basil has a toning and anti-inflammatory effect, stimulates appetite and digestion. Essential oil and infusions from leaves are used in medicine for treating diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, kidneys, gallbladder, as well as for gargling and as a disinfectant.
