Basil of the 'Anised Delight' variety is a mid-season plant with compact bushes 35-40 cm high and a single plant weight ranging from 185 to 250 grams. The leaves of this variety are small, smooth, olive-green in color, and have a pleasant anise aroma, which gives the greens a special spice and makes them an excellent addition to salads, meat, and fish dishes. Yield of greens reaches 1.4-1.5 kg per square meter, which allows obtaining a good volume of fresh greens when growing.
Growing 'Anised Delight' basil is possible both by seedling method and direct sowing in open ground. Sowing for seedlings is recommended to be carried out in late March – early April, and transplanting seedlings into the ground – in early June, observing the planting scheme of 30x30 cm. For successful growth, the plant prefers well-structured, humus-rich soils and requires regular watering. Thanks to its tonic properties, basil contributes to improved digestion and enriches dishes with useful microelements.
This variety is valued for good foliage and rich anise aroma, which makes it in demand in cuisine and gardening. Using 'Anised Delight' basil allows diversifying the diet and giving dishes an exquisite taste and aroma, as well as providing the body with useful substances necessary for health.
