PRIMORETS is a medium-maturing spring barley variety intended for grain-fodder use. It is characterized by a vegetative period of 80 to 96 days and belongs to the nautans group. The plant is tall, with a long cylindrical and loose spike covered with a strong waxy bloom. The grain is large, with an unwaxed ventral groove and embracing lodicules, which contributes to high grain quality. The mass of 1000 grains ranges from 38 to 52 grams, and protein content reaches 12.6%, making the variety valuable for fodder purposes. The PRIMORETS variety is distinguished by high resistance to lodging and moderate resistance to diseases such as loose smut and covered smut. It is drought-resistant and undemanding in cultivation, allowing for successful cultivation in various climatic conditions of the Far East region, including the Amur Oblast, Primorsky, and Khabarovsk Krai. The average yield for the region is 30.2 centners per hectare, with a maximum recorded yield of 46.9 centners per hectare.
