Rodos

Rodos — a high-yielding sunflower hybrid designed for cultivation under various soil-climatic conditions in Ukraine. It belongs to the mid-season group with a vegetation period of 106–108 days, ensuring optimal maturity and high yield. Plants reach a height of 175–180 cm, with a recommended planting density of 55–60 thousand plants per hectare, which can be reduced to 45–50 thousand in drought-prone areas. The hybrid’s yield potential reaches 6.0 tons per hectare, with seed oil content of 53–55%, making it attractive for oil producers.

The hybrid Rodos exhibits high resistance to major sunflower diseases, including downy mildew, white and gray mold, rust, and fomopsis, with a tolerance rating of 9 out of 10. It also shows good resistance to fomosis, alternaria, septoria, and anthracnose (rating 8 out of 10). Seeds have a thousand-grain weight of 50–58 grams and are additionally treated with an insecticide seed treatment, providing protection against pests and promoting successful germination.

The origin of the hybrid Rodos is confirmed by quality certificates, with Serbia as the developer. Due to its ecological plasticity and disease tolerance, the hybrid adapts well to diverse growing conditions, ensuring stable and high yields. It is suitable for intensive cultivation technologies and is recommended for agricultural enterprises aiming for maximum efficiency in sunflower oil production.
