Maize Rodos

Crop Stability Under Stress

The «Rodos» corn hybrid by NVKF Selekta is a preferred choice for agronomists prioritizing predictable results. In the segment of simple grain-type hybrids, this variety stands out for its plasticity and resistance to a broad spectrum of pathogens, which is critical for farms with high disease pressure.

A Phytosanitary Shield

The hybrid's core strength lies in its genetic resistance to a complex of fungal diseases. While many counterparts require additional fungicide treatments against rot and rust, «Rodos» consistently withstands Alternaria, downy mildew (peronosporosis), Septoria, and Phoma. Its resistance to charcoal rot and white rot makes it a preferred option for regions prone to soil-borne infections.

Agronomy and Potential

With a maturation period of 100–110 days, this hybrid falls into the mid-early group, allowing for flexible harvest planning. Optimal seeding density depends on moisture availability: 55,000–60,000 plants/ha for irrigated areas or regions with sufficient rainfall, and 45,000–50,000 plants/ha for risk-prone farming zones. It is primarily used for high-quality grain production.

• Type: simple hybrid.
• Vegetation: 100–110 days.
• Specialization: grain production.
• Immunity: strong protection against a complex of rots (white, gray, charcoal) and leaf spot diseases.

«Rodos» is the ideal solution for those seeking a balance between crop protection and yield potential, minimizing the risk of grain quality loss even under challenging phytosanitary conditions.
