NURGUSH

NURGUSH is a type of spring two-row barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) intended for grain and fodder cultivation. It is characterized by a medium-late maturity period and a vegetative period of about 77 days. The variety was created through hybridization involving the local variety Urenya and the Canadian variety Klondike, resulting in a high-quality rikotense type with improved agronomic characteristics.

This barley is distinguished by high resistance to lodging and drought, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in various climatic conditions, particularly in the Volga-Vyatka, Middle Volga, and Ural regions. The mass of 1000 grains is 40-45 grams, and the protein content reaches 14.7%, ensuring good grain quality. Yield varies by region and can average 37.5 c/ha in the Volga-Vyatka region and up to 5.44 t/ha under optimal conditions.

In addition, NURGUSH exhibits high resistance to major barley diseases, such as loose smut, powdery mildew, root rots, and stem rust. These properties significantly reduce the risk of yield losses and enhance the economic efficiency of its cultivation. Thanks to its characteristics, the variety is widely used in agricultural practice to obtain stable and high-quality grain crop yields.
