DIVNY

DIVNY is a spring barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) variety with many positive characteristics, intended for grain and fodder use. It belongs to medium-early and medium-height varieties with a vegetation period ranging from 65 to 88 days. This barley is characterized by high resistance to lodging and overwintering, which ensures crop preservation and reduces ear breakage during late harvesting. The mass of 1000 grains varies from 35 to 52 grams, indicating good grain quality. Protein content in the grain reaches 12.3–13.7%, making it valuable for feed purposes. The DIVNY variety has high drought resistance and resistance to a number of diseases, including loose smut, root rots, powdery mildew, and dwarf rust. Moderate susceptibility to helminthosporiosis does not reduce its overall stability, allowing for successful cultivation of this barley in various climatic conditions. The variety is recommended for cultivation in regions such as the Volga-Vyatka, Ural, West Siberia, East Siberia, Far East, and North Caucasus, demonstrating its adaptability and versatility. DIVNY barley is characterized by high yield, which in favorable conditions can reach 68.1 centners per hectare.
