Ellinor

Ellinor is a new type of spring brewing barley that stands out for its high and stable yield, especially in continental climates with periodic water scarcity and high temperatures. This variety is ideal for medium to excellent quality soils and shows high yields, reaching up to 90 centners per hectare. Ellinor is recommended for the brewing industry due to its high grain quality and approval in many European countries.

The plant is medium-sized, has good resistance to lodging and ear breakage, which helps preserve the harvest and reduce losses during harvesting. The grain is large, beautiful, with a high thousand-kernel weight of about 50 grams, high uniformity and density, as well as low screenings content. The variety is characterized by very good germination resistance of the grain, which is important for maintaining quality during storage.

Ellinor is distinguished by its low protein content in the grain, not exceeding 11.7%, which positively affects brewing properties. The variety is resistant to major barley diseases such as powdery mildew, stem rust, loose smut, and rhynchosporium. The recommended sowing rate at optimal times is approximately 300-350 viable seeds per square meter, which corresponds to 150-170 kilograms per hectare.
