AmaDEY barley is a medium-early spring barley variety developed by Saaten Union in Germany. The plant's vegetation period ranges from 83 to 91 days, and its height reaches 62-68 cm. The variety is distinguished by high drought resistance (8 points) and resistance to major diseases such as helminthosporiosis, powdery mildew, leaf spot, rust, dwarf rust, and rhiinospore disease. In addition, AmaDEY exhibits good resistance to lodging and shattering, which contributes to maintaining yield and improving its quality. The thousand-grain weight varies from 44 to 46 grams, and the protein content in the grain reaches 12%.

This barley variety is intended for grain production and is widely used in the food industry, particularly in breadmaking, as well as in the animal feed sector. Due to its high protein and carbohydrate content, AmaDEY is a valuable source of energy and nutrients. Recommended cultivation zones include the Forest Steppe, Polissia, and Steppe, with optimal preceding crops being peas (winter and spring), corn, rapeseed (winter and spring), and soy. The potential yield of this variety reaches 7 tons per hectare.

For seed storage, AmaDEY should be kept at a temperature range of +7-10°C and humidity not exceeding 10%. Packaging is done in 1000 kg bags. This approach ensures the preservation of planting material and its high germination rate.
