Krix

Krix is a spring two-row barley variety characterized by high yield potential and excellent brewing qualities. It features stable high yields reaching 85-95 c/ha and rapid maturation, enabling timely harvest and favorable pricing. The variety is recommended for cultivation in various climatic zones, including Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe, and is suitable for all cultivation zones due to its versatility and adaptability.

One of the key features of Krix is its high resistance to lodging, spikelet breakage, and shattering, significantly reducing losses during harvest. Additionally, the variety exhibits genetic resistance to Rhynchosporium (common barley disease) and demonstrates good resistance to other diseases such as Helminthosporium, powdery mildew, leaf spot, and yellow rust. Its high drought tolerance and cold resistance up to -8°С make it a reliable choice for various growing conditions.

Krix has a medium-maturing group, plant height ranging from 50 to 65 cm, and thousand kernel weight between 44.9-54.1 g. Protein content in grain is 11.5-12.5%, meeting high quality standards for brewing and feed use. Recommended seeding rate is 3.0-4.5 million seeds per hectare. For storage, optimal conditions are temperature +7-10°С and humidity not exceeding 10%. The variety is produced in Germany and supplied in 1000 kg packages.
