Winter barley variety Svіtoch Nosivskyi is a high-yielding and disease-resistant variety developed in Ukraine. The vegetation period of this mid-season variety is 83-86 days, and plant height reaches approximately 77 cm. The variety is characterized by high yield, which during state trials significantly exceeded average yields of other varieties registered in the previous five years in various agroclimatic zones of Ukraine: in the Steppe region, yield was 77.7% higher, in the Forest-Steppe region — 23.2%, and in the Polissia region — 32.6%.

Svіtoch exhibits high resistance to lodging (7-8 points), shattering, and drought (8-9 points), as well as to major diseases such as powdery mildew, helminthosporiosis, and rust, with resistance ratings of 7-9 points. The grain contains 12.5-12.8% protein, ensuring good raw material quality, and the 1000-grain weight varies from 41 to 47 grams. The recommended seeding rate is 3.5-4.5 million seeds per hectare.

Svіtoch is intended for cultivation in all regions of Ukraine — the Steppe, Forest-Steppe, and Polissia. To preserve seed quality, storage should be conducted at air temperature +7-10°C and humidity not exceeding 10%.
