Spring barley variety RGT PLANET is a medium-maturing two-row brewing variety with 10-11% protein content. Plants are medium-height, 65-67 cm tall, with 1000-seed weight ranging from 42-55 g, ensuring good germination and seeding density. The vegetation period is 73-93 days, and the variety ripens a few days earlier or later than several standard varieties, allowing flexible harvest planning. The ear is cylindrical, medium density, with long serrated awns and characteristic anthocyanic coloration, which is a distinctive morphological feature of the variety. RGT PLANET exhibits high adaptability and resistance to adverse factors. It shows good drought tolerance, cold resistance, and lodging resistance, making it a reliable choice for various climatic zones, including steppe, forest-steppe, and meadow regions. The variety has high plasticity to soils and tolerance to major barley diseases such as powdery mildew, rhi-nhosporiosis, net blotch, and dwarf rust. Resistance to ear and stem breakage is also high, reducing yield losses under adverse weather conditions. The variety is recommended for cultivation in various regions of Ukraine and Russia, including Zhytomyr, Volyn, Khmelnytskyi, Lviv, Rivne, Ternopil, Chernivtsi, Zaporizhzhia, Vinnytsia, Sumy, Poltava, Kirovohrad, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Cherkasy regions, as well as Smolensk and Tula regions of Russia. Yield varies depending on region and growing conditions, reaching maximum values of 6.8-7.2 t/ha in Ukraine and 66.7 centners/ha in the Moscow region of Russia. Sowing rate ranges from 2.8 to 4 million seeds per hectare depending on sowing dates, ensuring optimal plant development and high productivity.
